I had to install most of the sensors as the mechanical injection system does not need or use electronic controls. Some of the more modern CIS cars have an O2 sensor but the originals didnt have an O2 sensor either. This was one of the more difficult as the catalytic converters on these cars are in the exhaust manifold so I had to be inventive. Also on these cars the throttle is buried under the bottom of the intake so I had to be very inventive about the TPS

I removed the EGR valve and used the hole into the manifold to mount the O2 sensor. I built a fake plate and welded in the bung over the existing hole and then ran the O2 sensor into it. I used a plugged up spark plug anti fouler to plug the line back into the manifold

For the temp sensors I used on out of a mid 80's straight 6 and replaced the thermo time switch as the threads were the same. I set the parameters by sticking it in boiling water than noting the conductivity as the water cooled.

I think the TPS is a piece of genius on my part! (I'm not egotistical at all). The throttle is burried in the center of the manifold and is basically unreachable so I mounted a Volvo TPS on a plate which could be mounted on the manifold studs. Then I cut a piece of bolt to fit into the TPS, one end chamfered to fit the cut out and glued it in. in the other end I cut a hole and cleaned it so it was really smooth. Them after much trial and error and sticking my tongue out at the correct angle I welded a ball off a donor accelerator rod onto the rod that runs along the side of the air induction unit (CIS unit). Then I cut a rod to length and put the rod through the hole in the TPS spindle and clipped it to the ball welded on the accelerator rod. I put antisieze on the rod so it slipped well. I will just have to lubricate it once a month

The Intake air temp sensor (IAT sernsor) was fitted into the existing air filter by drilling a 5/8th hole with a hole sawand fitting a rubber grommet and then screwing the sensor into the grommet, a very nice fit.
